Correct me if I am wrong but I heard some where that TPS is switching over to Digital in the very near future. Is this true?

This is with regard to setting up a Uniden BC245XLT.
I have set up my BC245 XLT using one Site (geographic zone)
per bank Bank 1 =South, Bank 2= North etc..etc..
I fill in the unused channels with non-trunk, but related stuff
like TTC,media, or various security freq's for instance .(whatever you're interested in)
Make sure you are in E2-800 Trunking mode when programming
your freq's. I like it in trunk search mode as opposed to creating
scan lists( again this is personal preference, see what you prefer)
When something is going down that I want to concentrate on, I disable
the other banks and listen to the action on only that one bank until the
situation plays itself out.

Seeing how T EMS just added so much more t/g's to the system only shows us that the system is still capable of a lot more users on it. This only leads to shows us that they do not need to update it.
What are the benefits of the APCO-25-based systems anyway over 800 trunked??? I have not heard someone tell me an educated answer yet.
