Traffic alerts?

Just got my first scanner, and was wondering if there was a frequency available for the Portland/Vancouver area.

There isn't anything out there that is going to transmit traffic alerts that you can get on your scanner, but your AM/FM radio will do that quite well for that. The other option is to listen to local PD/EMS and formulate a traffic picture yourself based on what you hear going on by listening to the things that normally cause traffic problems.

I was referring to AM/FM news radio stations in the area...
