By The Berwyn Fire Co November 9, 2010 The 1st alarm for Box 0260 was struck for the house on fire in the unit block of Miller Avenue in the Daylesford section of Tredyffrin Township on Tuesday, November 9th at 10:01 p.m. Berwyn units responded along with an engine and ladder company from Paoli and a ladder company from Radnor. Engine 2-3 arrived to find a medium smoke condition and its crews lead off with hand lines. Tower 3 then pulled up and its crews took care of ventilation. The bulk of the fire was in the walls between the first floor and basement near the chimney.

Assistant Chief B. Brazunas had command and called for the working fire dispatch which added resources to the incident from Malvern, Valley Forge and the Chester County Department of Emergency Serices (CCDES). Deputy Chief W. Allan Riddle coordinated operations. Walls were opened up by interior crews and the fire was extinguished quickly. The fire was placed under control at 10:35 p.m. with moderate damage to the interior of the house. The house was being rehabilitated at the time of the fire and was unoccupied.

There were no firefighter or civilian injuries. The CCDES Fire Marshal's Office is investigating this fire which appears to be accidental.
