Thank you very much for your Thanksgiving wishes.. now let's see if I make it till Christmas.. I have four-year-old and a 7-year-old grandkids who are great little gentlemen, although they won't remember me. I look forward to enjoying Thanksgiving with them and the rest of my family.

That quote really hit me hard since I was holding my sleeping grandson when I read it the other morning.

RIP trentbob, and I really hope that you were wrong about them remembering you.

As much as enjoy this hobby, that's a great reminder that there are other things in life that are far more important.

I'm saddened by the news of @trentbob 's passing. I had just been wondering how he was doing since I hadn't seen any posts from him in nearly a month.

We never met or even spoke face to face, but we shared the commonalities of a love for radio and scanners and being newspaper photographers during the days when film was king.

His presence will be missed on RR.

Wow. I haven't been here for months, and Bob's passing is a surprise. We used to chat on a repeater, and compared notes on the newspaper business and life at the same apartments that he was living in, as did my wife and I in 1965. RIP.
