This was copied directly from N1GAW's post for the Triangle area and tweaked ever so slightly. Thanks for the permission to use your words . . .
A Triad area flyover is expected on Tuesday May 26th, starting around 7PM by The Bandit Flight Team using a combination of Van’s sports aircraft and Russian YAK trainers.
According to their website, The Bandit Flight Team is a group of highly-trained, experienced pilots that combine their love of flying with an appreciation for vintage military aircraft. The Bandits are based in the Raleigh, NC area and fly over 40 events a year including all NC State football games, NASCAR events, Carolina Panthers and numerous veteran and community events. They also flew a similar "mission" in the Triangle area just over a week ago.
I'll post a link to the news article, but if you just want their schedule:
To keep this on the topic of monitoring and radios, you may catch the leader on 126.6 MHz as they enter Greensboro's airspace. Also, there's a good possibility that WXII Channel 12 will broadcast traffic from the leader during their televised broadcast.
