Making the trip from Fairfax to Richmond, VA, heard Virginia State Police, Richmond and Fairfax talking all over each other on 159.0000, Richmond STARS CC (152.0375), Thornburg on 152.0975 and of course Fork Mountain on 152.7125. Shenandoah National Park's P25 VHF system was booming in along with many other VHF hits on my Pro-96's "Police/Fire" service search function. All of this was around mile marker 160 through mile 140 on I-95 southbound. Being mobile, I wasn't able to get any logs minus the VSP freqs..which I have programmed into a bank for finding tropo. Although, HEAR340 (155.340) was very active as well, with PL's 203.5, 167.9 and 127.3 coming in.

Equipment: Radioshack Pro-96 with Motorola 146-174 VHF 3db whip antenna (same as used on legacy VSP car configurations).

VHF Lo into minnesota

Once again I had Snotel data all morning into my QTH. I had to hit lockout on the scanner to see if anything else was up. Nothing else heard. I went searching for the Snotel exact sites to get distance and azimuth. I could not find a license for Meteor Communications COrporation for 40.53 and 41.53. I wonder if they operate under a Fed license (interagency license). I did find a few other freqs for MCC in Spokane WA and have to see where those transmitters are located.
