ARC396: Trouble connecting to BCT396T from PC with ARC software

To all:

Unable to connect with BCD396T and I get an error message: Software has not detected your scanner. However, in the Virtual Control mode from the same PC, I can turn [HOLD] and [SCAN] on/off (some connection is present). I am using the ARC396Pro for Uniden396T V2.1001 PRO (2007); Full version and Win7 Professional. I did successfully connect with a different PC, but this (same OS) doesn't work?

I have tried resetting (regedit) Com ports in PC --- no difference. I tried new cable direct from 396T to USB --- no difference. I hard reset the 396T --- no difference.

Is there another solution around that someone knows about?

Try going to the BCD396T tab and click on RS232 Communication Setup. Click on AutoDetect Scanner. What programming cable are you using and what year did you buy it?
