Please help this newbie dummy.
First time broadcasting and am just starting with call digesting and running into issues because I really am new and thick at all this.
Here is my issue.
I am in a fairly rural area, but have two sites that my antenna can pick up, one a lot further away from the other. I have both of these sites setup on the one system as a favourite on my scanner. Just those two sites and one department. The one furthest away is in a more built up area so I get the majority of transmissions through that, but it does sometimes come through the closer site and not the other. When I first started uploading to broadcastify, nothing happened until I set it to receive from one particular site only. For example when I want to listen to just one talkgroup..when I put it on "All calls on system - etc" Broadcastify doesn't see it, at all. If I swap it to site specific, it see's it, uploads it and broadcasts that transmission just fine. That is all well and good but sometimes the odd transmission only comes through the other site and I miss it. So, seeing as the "all calls on the system" setting didn't work and I want it to also broadcast the transmissions received from the second site as well, I set up a second call upload (with a new upload key and ID) and set it to the other site location, but although it uploads to broadcastify and is seen, it comes across as a duplicate, even though I don't see or hear a duplicate transmission on my end. Each call upload setup works fine on its own..but not together, even if not broadcasting through the same site at the same time.
I hope you are able to make sense of that and please forgive my ignorance. I am only just starting out on this journey and don't even know a lot of the terminology yet. I am obviously doing something wrong or expecting it to work in a way in which it doesn't. Thanks
