I posted something about this in the GRE forum, but couldn't figure anything out. For the past few weeks, my PSR-500 (and -500 and -600s belonging to friends, using a copy of my database) have been getting "stuck" on certain talkgroups. Not really on the talkgroup, but really on the frequency while showing the TGID it was listening to originally. It doesn't happen all the time, but more often than not... The conversation will end (for instance, on NCCo fire talkgroup TAC3) but the scanner won't drop the frequency and you'll hear any other traffic using that frequency (like, police dispatch or paratransit guys abusing the 10-codes) until you force the scanner to go back into scan mode by pressing the "SCAN" button.
I guess my question is, does anybody else have issues with a GRE scanner (or a Radioshack clone) listening to the state trunking network? And, more importantly, have you been able to fix it?
I've tried adjusting the Subaudiodelay" and "EndToneMOT" with no effect. The "Delay time" setting is either on the default 20 or 10 for all of the talkgroups, but I don't think that matters. Also, I can listen to the Wilmington police/fire system without an issue.
Any help would be appreciated... I really don't want to go through the hassle of buying a different scanner, accessories and programming software for this.
