So the "list all" should show all talk groups for MOSWIN in numerical order?? That way I don't have to spend a long time scrolling up and down looking for the talk group I am trying to find? Well I will try that later tonight or tomorrow.
I still think a search box like there is now for "frequencies" could work. It would just take time to impliment it.
What you're asking for cannot be implemented. The database shows identified talkgroup ID's. Those are the ones that someone has discovered through listening to the system and determining use/user, or where a list of the talkgroups on the system has been obtained, and the relevant TGID's have been submitted to the database to be added. Once they are in the database, then they would be shown if 'list by numerical order' is selected.
The data stream on the system itself does not identify the talkgroups by usage, which is what you are seeking. There is no 'text tag' information that a scanner can harvest, However, on most systems, you'll find that groups of number sequences are commonly used for similar purposes and users. If a system in the database showed TGID 1215 used for 'Yourcity Fireground 1', and TGID 1218 assigned for "Yourcity Fireground 4", then it's likely that talkgroups 1216 and/or 1217 would also be a Fireground for the same city. While that is not always true, it is a pattern that comes up more times than not.
Since your TGID 1404 falls in a sector of the ID listings with nothing close, you'll need to monitor it and try to determine what the usage is.
