Hi all,

I've got the new RSP1A, great receiver. Is it possible to monitor trunked networks with this one?

Thanks,
Max

Yes. Look into DSD Plus (dsdplus.com).

You will also need a virtual audio cable such as VB Cable.

To trunk such systems may require two SDRs.

The above is all provided they are not encrypted or using some proprietary scheme.

OP25 with RSP1A?

op25 under Linux can trunk P25 system with a single sdr.
Hi Boatbod,
Thank you very much for your development of OP25 (with Max, of course)!
Can OP25 work with SDRPlay's RSP1A, as the opening post requested?

A little off topic, perhaps you can develop/port OP25 to Windows (that can work with RSP1A), same as there is a new Tetra plugin for SDR# or even Unitrunker with Phase2?

Best Regards,
Noam

I can't advise how you set up the drivers, but assuming the RSP1A functions with gnuradio (and a cursory search online suggests it does) then op25 will be able to run.

Sorry, there's likely zero chance op25 will be ported to a Windows environment unless gnuradio ever makes it over there. Too much is dependent on the gr framework. It's not all bad news though as you can successfully run Ubuntu in a virtual environment on a Windows host.

Thank you for your answer and for your efforts with OP25.
