Hello everyone, I picked up a used FT5200 at a tailgate last weekend to replace my Baufeng specifically to work birds, I'm reading the manual and trying to program my memory channels to use the uplink and downlink as one memory but either the manual isn't very specific to a new owner or im missing something in translation.
It says to program my TRANSMIT/RECEIVE freq (dont have manual in front of me right now) and save it to desired channel (all well and good there) so I go forward to program my other freq it doesn't specify if I program it in the secondary freq window and save it on same channel, switch the primary freq to first window or what specifically the process is!
Anyone that has knowledge about it can you please put it in step by step idiot proof instructions for me? Im excited to try this out but the excitement is slipping the more frustrated I get.

Programing uplink and down link into the same memory is not such a great idea, when tuning the downlink for doppler shift , you will also be changing the same memory channel that has your uplink frequency.

You got a point🤔 was thinking I could save memory space.
But more i think it might be easier to save the horizon freq and just manually doppler shift through the pass 🤔
