Trying to update

Hello I just purchased my first digital scanner and when I go to do a update I get certificate provided by the update site is not valid?Another thing not associated with this, why does my scanner shut off with full battery put when plugged into a external source it doesn’t? I have the Trx-1 handheld! TIA

Go to whistlergroup.com and download the latest version of ezscan for the trx 1.

As far as your battery problem..do you have the switch innte battery compartment set to the type of battery you are using? and what is your external power source?

I just downloaded ezscan for the TRX-1 from the whistler site without any problems or warnings about certifications not being valid.

Try it again.

You need to go here:

If download links do not show at the bottom of the page, please make sure you are using the most current version of your browser. Some browsers may have difficulty showing the links. Available downloads for the TRX-1 model scanner are: EZ Scan Software

And click on the link for "TRX-1Install_3.40.0.692.exe". Once the file is downloaded, run it, and it will install an updated version of the programming software for your TRX-1 that solves the certificate problem. You need to actually run the installer, not just download the file.

You must get the newest version of ezscan to work by downloading the latest version DIRECTLY from whistlergroup.com (not via ezscan). This wil fix the certificate error and is the only way to fix it.

You can then do the updates in ezscan.
