Hello All!

I also have been it contact with IAR for their TTD help/support, but I wanted to asked in here also, in case anyone else may have ran into this issue.

Just Today, (10/25/24) I've noticed/gotten this TTD error that I've seen for the first time. The first attached screenshot, is 73f, which I know is now old, so IAR had me remove it, and install the latest 74i, load my API key, and all that jazz to solve the problem, but it has not, and as you can see in the second attached screenshot, the error is still occurring on 74i. On both versions, pretty much directly after launch, it would hear "noise" on the channel, even though my county was/has been quiet during my troubleshooting. I have gotten the "noise" data to stop/stop showing up, but moving slight more to the right of where I had it. And as you can see, I get the same error with both TTD versions. I did not tweak any other settings in TTD besides the API Key.

The only two things I can think of, and I'm not ever sure if it ties in, is: 1) My county's consoles did have a 0.3 second tone gap, which has just recently been removed, but I have NOT removed the gap from my tones yet. And 2) The PC this is on, also had an error with updating Google Chrome, so I had to uninstall Chrome, and reinstall it, but Microsoft Edge would not let the download go, until I changed the UAC in Windows (10). I lowered the UAC in Windows, let Chrome reinstall and then set the UAC back to its default setting (with restarts).

Would any of those 2 things cause this error?

(Sorry if this post is long winded, I just wanted to explain the issues as best I can!)

Thanks in advance!

Does the `./logfiles` directory exist and is it writable?
Do you have enough disk space on the system?
If you answered yes to both of the above, try creating a new TTD directory, copy over the executable and two config files and launch it. Do you get the same error or a new one?

I'll have to check the "./Logfiles" to see of it's writeable, but I do know it does exist. As far as space, the PC has plenty, as it's used as the "Station IAR Display" and runs that (Chrome) and TTD. IAR Support keeps thinking that I'm missing dispatches and wants the log file, which I get, however, I'm not even at the missing dispatches point! The debug will run as the scanner scans/county talks, and it does even have to be tones for that error to show up, It could just be a simple key up or voice traffic, and I'll get that error.

I recently had to change antivirus software, had Kaspersky, now have the company the gave US accounts to, Ultra AV, and last night I temporally turned off Ultra AV and I was able to get it to "scan" normal for hours, then I put TTD in it's app whitelist, and did a reboot. Was able to remote in to look, and all looked well! Thought I had it fixed, and was going to tone test this AM, when low and behold, I got the error again! Would Ultra AV cause all this? I've had zero issues for years, then when I went to close TTD for a weekly reboot, I ran into this issue! Very frustrating!

Anti virus can do all kinds of janky stuff to programs and files if their unrecognized by the software.

I use nothing more than windows defender, which comes with windows, and never had any issues. Years ago I ran AVG and that was a nightmare. Would delete files out of program folders because it thought it was suspicious, then programs wouldn't work. 🙄

After troubleshooting it this afternoon, you hit it on the head Deziel0495! The Ultra AV was the culprit! Removed that, and it now works like a charm! Actually had a call during and didn't have to tone test! Haha! I have Windows Defender enabled now!
