I know the PCWIN P25 digital system is the main communications service in Pima county.

With that said, TFD's automated dispatch was simulcast on NFM 460.2. This made it a useful frequency to program into my non-digital rigs (GMRS) for monitoring. I've been monitoring it a couple days and it's dead quiet. Has the plug been pulled on the NFM simulcast?

Thanks, Kurt K7XTA

Yeah, they stopped using 460.200 a couple of months ago. I had it in my old crystal radios, so now I own a few more useless crystals to add to my collection.

I tried out 151.2425 and it’s hard to hear and very static in Marana (twin peaks and I10)
We're practically neighbors (I live near Lambert and Thornydale) - and agreed 151.2425 is pretty bad copy out here. If I truly want to know what's up I turn on my Raspberry Pi/SDR rig and monitor PCWIN.

Nice I have a unication g4 for PCWIN. I just wished my apx 7000xe could do the same but it won’t allow me to put in the system ID

Well, 460.200 is now back on the air, announcing Tucson fire calls as before. No idea why it was down for the past few months. I guess I'll put those crystals back in my radios and see how long it lasts.

Signal quality on 460.2 seems to have deteriorated since it's come back online; about as poor as 151.2425.

I’m late to this thread. Is there a scanner feed that I can listen to Tucson FD Tacs/fire ground? I thought I could hear stuff last fire season but can’t seem fire ground radio traffic now. TIA.

Edit above, I’m in Prescott so I’m looking for a scanner feed, rather than listening directly.

I haven't done much with systems in a long time but back in the 90s I was using standard GX5800T and 580T Plus radios as scanners on Motorola systems (RX ONLY) they didnt need the full system ID, only the last 2 digits so system 1632, could have been programmed as 0032 and it worked just fine. i dunno if APEX might have that loophole but if you can enter in a variety of system ids, just not the one you need, maybe this would work.

The Tucson Regional Fire Dispatch feed on Broadcastify is an official feed hosted by Tucson Public Safety Communications. The Left channel is A2 Dispatch Outbound, and the Right channel is A7, A10 and A13 fireground channels. Set your speaker balance left or right as desired, or put it in the center to hear both dispatches and tac channels.

The Tucson Regional Dispatch & Fire/Medical feed is a single channel feed hosted by Tucson Public Safety Communications that scans A2 Dispatch Outbound, the 4 regional tac channels, and the 3 fireground channels. On this feed you can hear nearly all activity for Tucson Fire and the other area fire agencies dispatched on their unified radio system (Northwest, Golder Ranch, Avra Valley, Picture Rocks, Three Points, South Tucson, Mount Lemmon and Rincon Valley).
