Tulsa Oklahoma area - fire stations - Google My Maps - map of area fire stations

I placed all the airport fire info I could find on the map

1. Does the American Airlines mtnce facility have a fire brigade or anything? What freq?

2. Is the ANG FD shown on the map at the right location? Still on 163.00? Is it called Sta 61 by any chance? They have fire units 65, 67, 68, etc. Anyone have a complete list of rigs? I would guess 1 or 2 crash trucks, a rescue, a structure pumper, a tanker, and ???

3. Does the City fire station (31) have a crash truck? Do they go to structure fires on the airport? You can see in satellite view that they can get out onto the runways.

4. Is the City FD airport talkgroup patched to 163.00 or any ANG TGs?

5. Do any suburban FDs respond to crash boxes at the airport? How do they communicate?

6. Who provides ambulance service to the airport?

7. The Airport FD is separate from the City FD - right? (Google Maps shows same address for both stations)

8. I assume that ANG FD is dispatched by a ANG dispatcher - Airport FD is dispatched by an Airport dispatcher - and city fire station 31 is dispatched by the city fd dispatcher (maybe on city fd channel 1)

This is where 1 hour of research has landed me. I know much more than when I started - but still so many questions.

What is this research for?
Answer for #6 is EMSA and no they are not stationed at the airport.
Your best bet is to contact the airport your self and ask these questions.

Good luck!

Question - What is this research for?

Answer - Trying to enhance the listening pleasure of scanner users by providing basic information about public safety agencies and their dispatch systems.

--------------------

Lets see what more I can dig up. Oh, I know - that Tulsa FD study probably mentions if Station 31 has a crash truck or not. Lets give that a peek.

Edit - no crash truck at city station 31 - just a pumper, aerial, and grass truck - interesting

It's the Scannermaster way. The books, I mean. Once I got a copy of Scannermaster (Massachusetts, 2nd Ed) Police Call never seemed as useful.

Tulsa Oklahoma area - fire stations - Google My Maps - map of area fire stations

I placed all the airport fire info I could find on the map

1. Does the American Airlines mtnce facility have a fire brigade or anything? What freq?

They used to have an industrial fire brigade. No idea the frequency.

No clue. They're there for the ANG and really separate.

3. Does the City fire station (31) have a crash truck? Do they go to structure fires on the airport? You can see in satellite view that they can get out onto the runways.

TFD FS31 is a structural station that backs up the airport (in its original design). It has an engine, ladder and brush pumper. The airport firehouse is 51.

4. Is the City FD airport talkgroup patched to 163.00 or any ANG TGs?

Nope

5. Do any suburban FDs respond to crash boxes at the airport? How do they communicate?

No suburban FDs come to the airport on the first alarm.

6. Who provides ambulance service to the airport?

7. The Airport FD is separate from the City FD - right? (Google Maps shows same address for both stations)

No it is the same. TAA owns the facility and rigs. TFD provides the personnel for the crash units.

8. I assume that ANG FD is dispatched by a ANG dispatcher - Airport FD is dispatched by an Airport dispatcher - and city fire station 31 is dispatched by the city fd dispatcher (maybe on city fd channel 1)

Airport has a dispatcher for TAA-F (where alerts come out). Typically TFD will announce an alert to their alarm office on the main channel, although sometimes these go through more normal routes of communication.

This is where 1 hour of research has landed me. I know much more than when I started - but still so many questions.
