I see, as I browse around, many instances where it appears to me that people aren't aware of, or aren't making use of, vBulletin's post flagging feature, and it would make their life easier.
It's that triangle warning sign in the top right corner of every post you read, and it calls the posting's attention to that forum's moderators (none of which I am

It can be used to flag a posting wherein someone's gotten a little (or, ok, a lot :-() out of hand, attitude-wise (not when you disagree with their opinion, or they yours, but when they're being a *jerk* about it)...
and it's also useful for "If you think it's worthwhile, could you make this a sticky?" requests
It even gives you a chance to write a short message to the mods, telling them what the issue with a post is, so if you're writing a sticky, you don't have to put the request *in the message*... where we'll have to look at it for all time, even after they do it. You can just put it in the flag comment.
