Ok I figured how to run two instances of Proscan. Now getting them to get out to ddns server? Do i have to assign each scanner a host name? Does each scanner have to use a different port number? How to add another ddns server to a nighthawk router? ipV4 ??? Port forwarding?? My server allows 25 hosts so do I use all the same as my first scanner? How to sort it out?

You can use one ddns server and one hostname, but each instance of proscan would need different port numbers. Then you have to map those ports to your PC from the router.

It take it you're using the Web Server or RSOIP server features. Use a different port # for each server. To access the server from the outside of your network, you need to setup the router Port Forwarding rules.

The router Port Forwarding needs these three items:
1) TCP (or TCP and UDP)
2) IP address of the computer running the server
3) Port # of the server

So if you have two Web Servers on one computer and one Web Server is assigned port 5000 and the other Web Server is assigned 5001, you would want to create two Port Forwarding rules for ports 5000 and 5001.

Use canyouseeme.org to test if the Web Servers can be seen from the outside. The Web Server/s needs to be running first.

Update this is getting more difficult than I expected. My Cox router only alows one port forward rule per pc. I’ll have to go another route through my nighthawk router. I also tried one of those usb headphone/line in devices and not hearing sound on that instance of proscan? I did check the windows mixer and assigned recorder/web server etc’ to that device.

Is the Cox router the nighthawk or do you have two routers?
Are you sure the Port Forwarding rule is per computer and not per instance of a port number?

{edit} I was using a various Netgear routers including a Nighthawk for years and I had several Port Forwarding rules for one computer.

On the audio issue, go to the Audio Control - Monitor & Test tab then select Web Server in the Capture Audio Service box then click the Loopback box. If still no audio then go to the Audio Control - Web Server tab and ensure the correct input is selected and see if the audio meters move with audio from the scanner.

737mech,
What scanner types are you using?
If the BCD536HP or SDS200, are you using the Wi-Fi/LAN/Ethernet method of serial port connectivity and are they communicating with ProScan

The cox router is not the nighthawk. So I think I can add more port forward rules on the nighthawk? Just need to change a few cat 6 cables and assignments. My first scanner is the BCT15X and the second I'm trying to add is the bcd536hp. Both using the serial rear ports with serial to usb cords. They are showing fine with proscan. Need to try the sound inputs as you suggested.

Is one of the routers in bridge mode? If not then you may run into a double NAT issue.
I think you want to check your computer default gateway to see if it's using the Nighthawk and not the Cox router.
