Little band opening this morning has brought TXDOT Waxahachie in pretty well and wow, encryption? Are they masking their bad radio manors? What's up with that?

What frequency? If it was a band opening you might have picked a different agency

Is it in DMR mode? They have encrypted some ferry operations in Galveston on the same talkgroup (16777215) that is being reported in use on some of the Dallas area sites, and some users have reported hearing ferry ops come across those sites. If you are hearing P25 ENC, it is probably someone else you're hearing unless they are switching to P25.

Its the DMR frequencies for Rockwall, Mesquite, Waxahachie and Gainesville. Its not full encryption, Dispatcher and many other units were in the clear. The TG's & Color codes were correct with what's in the database for those. McKinney was in the clear on everything.
