In the remote past, after Waco went to HOTRRS, the Waco site remained in the RR DB for quite some time. When there was a Waco TxWarn site, most of McLennan Co were using MOT. However, not many people knew that some McLennan Co LE agencies were operating on TxWarn.

Eventually, HOTRRS was created using the same basic frequencies from TxWarn.

So, I am questioning the presence of site "Cedar Park" in Williamson County. Why is this site in TxWarn? I don't see any TxWarn talk groups in Williamson County.

It also gives Austin DPS access to TxWARN anywhere which includes Dallas and FWRRS. I was working in Galveston about a year ago and listened to Austin DPS talk to Dallas DPS direct. In Austin I hear units from SE Tx. Works good, some way!

only bumping this thread because i was scanning tonight and came across what appears to be the cedar park tower, but it's showing RFSS 2 Site 2 instead of 1. the tower is over 25 miles away and it has a good signal which makes me think it's closer or a new site but it shares the same frequency as the cedar park tower. the current CC is 774.29375 so i manually entered it into my favorites and will give it a listen to see if i hear anything over the next few days. Actually Texas parks and wildlife is talking now, TGID 2273. I was going to submit it but more than likely it's a glitch. I've noticed LCRA doing the same thing, sites seem to be switching numbers randomly.

I haven't seen this tower in a couple of months as a neighbor like I used to. I'm going to guess it's gone now.

I know I am the one who reported the move but now it’s not showing up as a neighbor on my DSD+ like it used to. I have to sites to check it from.

This site has been taken down and is in the process of moving to another site in Travis County. TxDOT sold the property in Cedar Park so the tower had to be dismantled.
