Type-C trunking guys question (Network disconnection)

Hi this is a question for the nexedge trunking guy's we have a site that keeps having network disconnection errors, vpn is fine only other thing on the line is voip phones its a fibre to cabinet connection not wifi.

this site is on a customers premises and we note it does not do it on a weekend, they have a welder in the yard so one line of investigation is that its happening when they are welding, anyway i just thought i would ask in case someone else has a simple answer, all cables checked power supplies fine.

It does not seem to effect anything but we hope to figure it out.

What does your NMS report for the rest of you network stack? Is there an interface dropping out? Where? Is it a L1 issue? Is it an L2 issue? What about a L3 issue? Not really providing enough info for anyone to make anything other than a WAG (wild-ass guess).

Yeah, all it's going to tell you is the network dropped.
You'd need to look at your data network side to figure out what's actually happening. If you've got network guys, they should be able to look at their equipment and give you some more details. These systems are pretty sensitive to network issues, whereas the IP phones might not show anything if it's just a short outage.

Welder:
RFI is not probably a concern if there's not a WiFi or wireless point to point link involved. If they are welding really close to the equipment, some TIG machines use a high frequency burst for starting the arc.
Power fluctuation might be something to consider depending on the type of welder and where it's connected.

Working on all that as i say vpn has no dropouts but we figure it out.

Maybe try a different network port.
Your network wonks should be able to help you sort this out. They should be able to see any errors on the interface and help you narrow things down.

my logs show network disconnect and reconnect. Your log not showing reconnects. odd
