I am a relatively open minded person but have seen some really good pictures of UFO's that were actually pictures of a light globe very much like those in my apartment, only inverted (http://www.ufoevidence.org/photographs/section/recent/Photo378.htm), or tilted (http://www.ufoevidence.org/photographs/section/recent/Photo335.htm). I have seen pictures of clouds passed off as UFO's (lenticular clouds to be specific--http://www.crystalinks.com/lenticul...lufocenter.com/artman/publish/filersfiles.php
the second is the site where I found the information...

This is presented with the disclaimer that I am still waiting after half-a-century to actually see one of these things that isn't lens flare or a lamp globe or a fuzzy picture of a poorly construcrted model of what an alien aircraft is supposed to look like---

(No, I don't have a recording but other monitors in the region heard it too)
Whatever it was it was real as they both saw it on their radar and visually, When they asked the E3 in the area if they had it on their screen they replied (after a :10 pause) "yea, we have a track on that" before it retreated at a speed beyond their ability to measure.
No more mention of it from Darkstar(The E3) or the pilots on 364.2 after that.
On an unrelated note, A friend worked for ATC for many years in the SLC sector and regularly saw "Things" above their commercial airspace. Some may say it had to do with Nellis to the south but they knew what those tracks looked like coming back from Canada or the Pacific areas. Savvy controllers had the abillity to look well above 100K' with their equipment.
