Does anyone know anything about the new UHf freqs that Columbia Co. Ga Sheriff department has. What are they going to be used for or when they are going to be active. I have not heard anything on these freqs, some of the freqs sound like an open mike.

I think I read a while back on this forum that they were low power repeaters for the new 155.5875 frequency they recently started using. I live about 1 mile as the crow flies from these new ones and all I get is an "open" hiss type of sound. I was hoping they were updating and swapping to those new freqs myself but from what Ive read, thats not the case. :( Feel free to email me if you have any other questions around this area, I'll do my best to help ya out.

Well, if you go to the database here on RR, you will see that it is a P-25, Phase II system. If you have a PSR-800 and the latest firmware upgrade for it, you will be able to monitor the new system.
But, really, bumping a nearly 8 year old thread:confused::confused::confused:
