Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hi. Quick question. As I understand it, all P25 radios do analog FM. if this is the case, can I do P25 AND UHF at the same time, or in the same scan list--"channel" 1, P25, channel 2, UHF, etc?
TIA!

what is the radio in question? more details are needed, as well as some clarification. p25 is a trunked radio standard, and UHF is a band...

Yes.
Although P25 is a trunking standard, it is also a conventional standard. It is often possible a radio is featured with p25 conventional and not trunking, but rarely (never that I can recall coming across) is p25 trunking featured and not p25 conventional.

More details on the model you are working with will certainly help, but I would be suprised if you could not do what you are attempting.

What do you want to at the same time, exactly? The radio will only transmit in one mode at a time, but many makes/models implemented mixed-mode receive. As for scanning, I don't know of any radios that don't allow both digital and analog channels in the same scanlist.

Motorola P25 capable radios can do both analog and digital channels in the same scan list. Those radios capable of trunking can also do trunking TG's in the same scan list.
