Sitting at my desk tuning my new BCT15X I suddenly pick up a strange (quick burst) of static over the UHF range (959.2000 WFM). The CloseCall feature is what detected the short transmission (sounded more like a data burst or something). It was 0130 in the morning when this happened. While not having the best antenna hooked up, I tried moving around to try and find the signal again, but all I get is static. Something definitely was there, but I've yet to pick anything else up sgsin. Any suggestions? I had a little storm pass over an hour or so prior. Could it be lightning or something? Who/what uses the UHF range in southeast Georgia?
Oh and I was using a GRE super amplifier at the time running about half gain.
