ProScan: Unable to play recorded files

Using current software Proscan 16.1 unable to play back recorded VOX audio files. When I select the file & press PLAY, nothing happens. Record mode is disabled when I attempt. I have files going back to Feb 2020, and all of them are the same, cannot playback. However, I have one saved file from Oct 2019, and it plays back fine.
Another porblem is sometimes when I click the RECORDER tab to access that page, it comes up blank (no files show in window). I have to shut down & restart Proscan to get the window to populate.
