• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued.     To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

    This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

After doing the firmware upgrade I (and at least one other poster)have lost the ability to decode QC over P25 Phase 2. I have 8 systems that were working fine before. I also have one system that I can't get to mute until the tones come across whose setting mirror the other 8. It stays and monitor and won't mute. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My issue since the update is that I dont get any 2 tone over p25 like I was before. Could someone explain better what the p25 sub-group id (digital address)column is and what should we put there

I have the same problem. I used a CP that a friend had and it worked but mine will not work or any I create.

I ended up going back to the old firmware (1.1) and the older pps. Now I just waiting for a call to happen and see if it work again.

I made some changes that they had in their CP so I am seeing if that fixed it but no call yet. I had been thinking I was just going vibrate insensitive from the pager. Since I only use vibrate.

So I went back to the old firmware and pps and now my pager is activating 2 tone over p25 again. My pager doesn't like something they changed in the new firmware so the old one I'll be on till something gets fixed. Kinda sucks that I don't get to enjoy some of the other fixes they made

I have finally figured out the problem! It only took me 5 hours, I had to wait for calls to test out multiple vairables to make sure I told everyone the correct thing.

Like it has been the Alert mode needs to be set to "Tone", but now Alert Tone needs to be set to anything besides "None". Like The Alert Mode the Alert Tone does not change what Alert Tone is played.
