Unication in Florida Question

I brought my G4 with me from out of state. I'm now in Sumter County where most things are not available for listening. Has anyone setup a Unication for this area to monitor anything, seriously, anything?? Specifically, I'm in northern Sumter Co. in the Villages. Otherwise, I have a $600 paperweight! I suppose this is the same as asking if there's any P25 PI or II in this area of the state that people like to listen to. I've never listened to much but Public Safety for about 60 years. Thanks.

Florida's "lower taxes, smaller gummint" bunch considers its citizens to be The Enemy so the trend is to encrypt everything.

You can monitor CSX railroad traffic through there; they run 4-6 trains a day on the Wildwood subdivision. I doubt you'd hear much on the marine bands that's actual boat traffic, maybe clandestine operations.

Thanks, yeah, it's shiite for sure on Pub Safety. I actually don't feel as safe as before since I have no idea what's going on around me.

I believe my post to be "on topic" citing the op. basically said there's not much to listen too.
