Does the Uniden 436 receive simulcast traffic ok ? looking for answer be for i buy one tks .
This should be a sticky under "do I need a more expensive scanner and why?"...NO. There could be location-based exceptions in a fixed location. Also could depend on the type of simulcast system but it is certainly not worth gambling your money, on a 10 year old radio.
It's a very nice radio for people who don't have to deal with simulcast situations or folks who say they don't mind the clipped, missed transmissions and choppy performance.
Some might even say it works great on simulcast and they don't have any issues at all. Some will suggest workarounds like using a paperclip, ATT or directional antennas and maybe even drilling a hole in an old empty paint can and sticking the rubber duck in the hole in an attempt to isolate reception to one tower.
Good luck.
It needs to be on the main page of RR.This should be a sticky under "do I need a more expensive scanner and why?"...
Wait … you mean I’ve been wasting my time trying to get my boofwang to receive the new p25 system in my area? 🤣Most buy the scanner then find us and ask how to make a VW a BMW
I love it when they ask about the BOFANG and P25 Trunking.
Halfway down, an optimist says, "So far, so good!"I love the people that keep asking if I jump off of a tall building without a parachute will it hurt?
The answer is always the same NOT LONG.
