Does the Uniden 436 receive simulcast traffic ok ? looking for answer be for i buy one tks .

No. You might get it to receive well in one spot and move a few feet and reception goes crazy. If you want a handheld that works properly with Simulcast get a SDS100.

NO. There could be location-based exceptions in a fixed location. Also could depend on the type of simulcast system but it is certainly not worth gambling your money, on a 10 year old radio.
It's a very nice radio for people who don't have to deal with simulcast situations or folks who say they don't mind the clipped, missed transmissions and choppy performance.
Some might even say it works great on simulcast and they don't have any issues at all. Some will suggest workarounds like using a paperclip, ATT or directional antennas and maybe even drilling a hole in an old empty paint can and sticking the rubber duck in the hole in an attempt to isolate reception to one tower.

My 436 handles simulcast only when I'm on the outskirts of intended system coverage and/or not remotely close to another tower on a given cell. As has been explained to you in the other threads you started on the topic (below), the only scanners optimized to conquer simulcast distortion are the SDS100 & the SDS200
