Uniden bandwidth

I just spent the last 1 1/2 hours downloading the ESN Loader and its instructions. Speed was at 8-18 KB per sec.

This was after a wait of 15 minutes to log on. Is this normal for Uniden?

I am on a 16 Mb loop with Comcast.

never been that slow for me, a minute or two at the most...... must be a comcast issue as I have pokey Embarq at 5mb.....

Downloaded BC_VUP today, was more than satisfactory for me.

I'm on Comcast and never had that proble, but would not put nothing past them.

I've never had great speeds from uniden, but normally about 30kbps

Thanks guys... I have tried to dl the files several times and the best I get is about 80KBs. Thats not to bad but would expect better from a commercial site. Uniden sure seems to make it hard for the end user to upgrade. I wonder why they just do not post the update version and let it go at that .

It's got to do with the licensing. Uniden is trying to stay legal and still provide us with up-to-date firmware, so they need to do the individual ESN registration thing. I am just glad they haven't started to charge for updates........yet.
