Hello. I have an older Uniden BC350A scanner that has worked wonderfully for many years. It was working one day fine and the next I have nothing but squelch noise on the speaker. The display is not functioning. Completely blank. None of the buttons do anything and I don't hear any beeping when I press them. It is as if a fuse for the unit blew or something. Now yes I have opened the unit. Im no electronics expert however I enjoy learning and do know my way around a multimeter and soldering iron lol.
I have been unable to locate a schematic of the board on the internet and fear it may be destined for the trash. I've broken down and purchased a new upgraded unit but would love to figure out why this unit has failed. If anyone has experience with this unit or can direct me to a schematic I may be able to follow it would be much appreciated. Oh and not sure this matters ,as it has functioned without issue for over 10 years but it does appear to have been modified internally for a cruiser install possibly. I read that may have been the case on another thread.
