Both GPS devices require outside power when used with the SDS100. They do provide power TO the SDS100 but require 12VDC power to the GPS.
The ONLY Uniden scanner that does not require power to the GPS is the SDS200 with the SGPS module, it is powered directly from the SDS200. The other Uniden scanners do not provide power up the line to the GPS module.
Thank you for that response. So what I am reading from the bold above, is it will continue to keep the batteries charged and run off the power supplied FROM the GPS module? So it will basically run like it is plugged in to power at all times and not drain the batteries?
Is this the case for the BCD436HP as well? Or that one I presume because of age, requires both to be powered?
