Uniden home patrol.

Hello All.

I would like to know if anyone in this forum intends to buy the new Uniden HomePatrol? I am very interested in knowing what hardware and software anomalies the HomePatrol might have?

I'm thinking about it... but the price is a pretty big deal and I don't know if I'd be satisfied with a scanner that you don't have to fiddle with and program. I've been used to messing with programming for 15 years, my first scanner was a 10 channel Pro-41 (laughing... that was SO easy then, and it was all I needed)...

I think that's part of the fun of scanning for me... to tune or set up the unit to do what you want it to do.

But the Home Patrol is still something I'd like to have around.

You might check the existing HP-1 threads, any hardware issues (which I know of none) would not be specific to Ontario only.
