Yes, once the scanner goes back to "listening" to the control channel at the conclusion of the transmission and release of the voice frequency/channel for the finished conversation. I'm speculating the interval time may be a system setting/parameter.

I'm speculating the interval time may be a system setting/parameter.
Some systems can be set to transmission trunking or message trunking and in one mode the TG delay will hold on to the voice channel and in the other mode the TG delay are done on the control channel making it possible to decode other TG's that are active at other voice frequencies using the current technology in the scanner firmware.

It is possible to decode the slow data information on a voice channel but only a few TG's set by the system admin will be available and the scanner firmware needs to be altered to handle this.

Let me clarify what I meant by interruption. I agree 100% that priority trunking does not interrupt a transmission. When I put something on hold, it’s generally because I want to listen to the holding TG to the exclusion of anything else. It won’t interrupt a transmission for the holding TG, however, during pauses in the transmission from the holding TG, it will allow other priority TG’s if any of them become active during the pause.
This must have been “fixed” with the latest firmware update. Priority talkgroups no longer appear when holding on something else.
