Uniden SDS100 & Richmond/EKU Police

I just moved back to the Richmond area and I am having a hard time picking up any law traffic in Madison County. I can get all the EMS and occasional Sherrff to work on the P25 system and KSP of course which is not on P25, but I can't seem to pick up anything from the Richmond City or the EKU Police. Does anyone know if these channels are encrypted by any chance?

Anything that has an "E" in the Mode column means it is encrypted.

That makes sense. It looks like most all of the police in the county has a DE in mode which is encrypted. I might just sell my scanner, it appears it is not much good here or way more than I need for basically KSP.

I mostly just scan Madison's system and from experience all law enforcement has gone encrypted in the last few years, but some of the police channels have a radio floating around that is not encrypted on Richmond Police and the Madison County Sheriff. Rarely you can hear one sided conversations, but it really isn't worth the time tracking and listening. You could always look into monitoring the Blue Grass Army Depot.
