I have a Uniden BCD 396T APCO 25 scanner and need help updating it. I originally purchased it at Apollo Communications several years ago and it was originally programmed by them but they are no longer in business. I have not used it in years and would like to start listening again. Is there any place that I can go to have it re-programmed? Any help is appreciated.

You'd be much better off programming it yourself.

Here is an "Easier to Read Manual"

The frequencies are here on this site

There are plenty of people here to assist you.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Edit: Looking at the database, your scanner may not be able to receive the newer systems in your area.

Someone local to you will have to let you know.

You can program it with your computer and a copy of Freescan. A premium membership to RadioReference will allow you to import frequencies and systems directly from the database. With the 396T being a Phase 1 scanner, what are you wanting to montior?

I just tried to send you a direct message and couldn’t for some reason. If you can try to DM me, I really don’t want to post me contact info on the main thread.

here is an extra email I have hanging around.
Here's an "anti-spam" hint for you.

Spammers have programs that scour the web looking for "@" signs, assuming they are part of e-mail addresses.

You can edit your post to remove the "@" symbol and replace it with "at", such as
myname at aol.com.
