Hi can the SDS150 be used without the battery installed when powered by USB C when mobile? Thanks

Does the SDS150 have a battery setting in the menu like the SDS100 to stop battery charging when running the radio itself from a USB power source?
And if so does it affect charging in the cradle if set?

“Charge while on” is removed from the SDS150 menu.

I might be misunderstanding the question, when the battery is attached to the scanner and USB cable is connected the scanner will charge until the cells reach 100% of capacity.
When I use my SDS100 in my vehicle, charge while operating is the setting I normally use. That way, when I remove it from my vehicle and want to carry it with me it is fully charged and I don't have to wait for it to recharge before I can use it while walking around.

Just remember...
When ever you charge the battery to full be the battery at 90% or 50% or whatever that counts as a charge cycle...
That can have influence on the battery life span...

Charging to full doesn't automatically count as a full cycle, but doing it frequently does shorten overall battery life due to voltage stress. For best longevity with 18650 cells, aim for partial charges and avoid routinely hitting 100% unless needed.

My bad...
EXample--- Discharging say to 50% then charging to 100% one day...
Then doing the same thing again would be considered a charge cycle...
As in two partial discharges then two charges to 100%...

Jason, any idea when we will be able to order an extra battery?
