It seems 155.055 is no longer active. So disappointing.

It's being maintained as a patch. It'll be used very significantly less, and be mostly silent unless someone gives it an input signal, but it'll be used.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I still think the DB should indicate that it would only be used "sometimes" as a patch and not a full simulcast anymore, as the db currently indicates.

So make a DB submission.......

I plan to if someone doesn't beat me to it. Haha However, I also want to monitor more to find out if the same is true for 46.280 (FD dispatch)?? I also will probably include 155.550 since I haven't heard crossing guards on there since last spring.

There are a few other frequencies (including some business frequencies) which have also gone deprecated in Union County. I am 99% certain that 46.060 County Fire is one of them, even though they have an active FCC license still. I am kind of waiting to gather my entire list of these deprecated frequencies and submit them all at once. I just want to do a little more monitoring for final confirmation first.

A submission has already been made to correct the error. There are still some tones being simulcast on 46.060...for now. And make sure to monitor said businesses you suspect are depreciated from the vicinity of the business in question as some are likely using 1w or less simplex, particularly retail.

Ok great. I can also confirm that their school buses are still on 47.660. Just heard some chatter on there. Still trying to see if I hear anything on 155.550 (crossing guards) and 46.280 fire dispatch. I am monitoring as I type this.

Regarding the businesses, I am only going to focus on the ones I initially submitted myself that were easily heard from my location. But, I need to do a lot more monitoring to be sure which are active vs. which are rarely used or deprecated. My goal is to get a good list of the Union County analog frequencies that are still fairly active.

DB is still incorrect. 155.055 and 46.280 are NOT full time simulcast patch from NJICS. These are either back up use only or deprecated. Haven't heard a peep on either of them.

Also, Crossing guard frequency is no longer in use!

The database is correct. See the bolded/underlined portion of my previous post. Just because you're not hearing something, doesn't mean it's toast.

Yes Radio Ditch. I see now that it was corrected since my last post. Looks correct now. Thanks for the info. There is currently a big house fire in Roselle Pk...only heard Union FD once on 453.150 mutual aid. Lots of action!

No problem. At some point they may drop them, but they haven't yet.

The problem with a municipality migrating to a system is keeping up with the changes. I made a submission, Union altered their plans. Both conventional frequencies are no longer being supported as of today.

I would hope Union Twp. is smart enough to use them as backup. What happens if NJICS ever fails?

Ok, so I assume Union County and Statewide UTAC have no plans to abandon their analog frequencies?

So how many times has the NJICS Union County simulcast gone down ? I don’t remember anything specific.
