Is there anyway that Unitrunker can tell AEGIS/Provoice and Encypted apart? I noticed today that if i let it run on a "voice" channel on the local system it will show "Provoice" in the upper left hand corner of the screen...

I might be able to do that for recognizing PV encrypted. Not sure about AEGIS.

Isn't Aegis an encryption protocol? I know that one system downstate from me is analog with Aegis encrypted talkgroups. ProVoice is a digital voice protocol. I'm not sure whether ProVoice can be encrypted using Aegis or not.

Provoice can be encrypted. I believe AEGIS is the precursor to Provoice and I think it can be either encrypted or unencrpted just like Provoice.

If Rick could put that in Unitrunker then this would be the only program that I know of that could tell you that Too bad it's not already in the control channel.

FWIW, the program only detects unencrypted ProVoice. If UniTrunker displays "ProVoice" - it is not encrypted. I don't think extending it to do the same for encypted PV would be difficult.
