Just downloaded the latest version of Unitrunker and it works great. Kudos to the development team for providing such top-notch software.

It operates as expected with one exception.

Washington, D.C. has two systems with the same Motorola system ID. One system is UHF, and the other is 800 MHz.

Unitrunker decodes the UHF system fine.

When I switch control channels to the 800 MHz system, it decodes for a few seconds. Then it stops showing talkgroup/channel activity. However, the signal level continues to fluctuate but stays consistently good (99% to 100% range typically).

If I exit and restart, it may start showing talkgroup/channel data again for a few seconds, then it stops, again.

Switching to other 800 MHz systems, they decode fine, even with weaker signal levels.

Any ideas?

Thanks Dewey. I looked at the system in the DB. I don't see anything special there. The program should work fine. I'll just sit back and wait for Bill to volunteer more information.

I have been checking this from Southern Maryland (DC suburbs) this morning, and so far so good. I have not yet experienced any stoppages, but I will continue to monitor. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I've always closed Unitrunker (and Trunker) down prior to switching systems to give it a fresh start. I remember that not doing so would cause problems in one of the older versions. Also as an FYI, I'm running from a tapped Pro-96 into a Toshiba Pentium M laptop.

Just an update to my 12/9 post on monitoring 603d. I ran UT continuously for 4 hours without incident before having to go to the real job. My primary system is a Toshiba Pentium M laptop running Windoze XP Home, SP2. I will also sometimes run it on my Toshiba T8100 laptop running Windoze Vista Home Premium, SP1.
