Can someone tell me the best program to read the xml files. I have tried Altova xml spy which shows data nested under tabs that can be expanded under grid view but it is too dificult and can find no way to sort or export to database or spread sheet to show hits etc. I need to see how active the different talkgroups are on the system and the new talkgroups.

To avoid mucking with XML, go to the Groups tab and sort by Hits or First / Last Seen to get an idea of relative activity and recent activity.

When a talk group is first found in UniTrunker it lists in the group tag and in a green color. I use this talk group information to program my scanner. I then change the font color of that talk group to black. This way all my known talk groups appear in black and anything new shows up in green.

As UniTrunker responded, you can sort columns by left clicking on the header of that column. This way you can sort by number of hits, group ID or in my case font color. Clicking on the header will sort either high to low or low to high.

If you could design a program to export from the XML file, what would you like to see it do?
