Some flash traffic early about 4 a.m. Sunday Jan 6 on NS West Public Saftey, aircraft of some sort even though it isnt listed on what is being monitored by the feed.
341.7500 Mhz , they talking about "sqawking " , don't usually hear aircraft on this feed. Could this be from Greenwood seeing as how the scanner is set up in the valley or just happen to picking up air traffic from Halifax airport flying over ?

341.75 is the primary frequency for the USAF air to air refueling track that extends along the length of Nova Scotia. This specific topic is discussed almost daily here on the Atlantic Canada section of RR by the real enthusiasts. I say that because although I do listen from time to time and have that frequency and others in the scanner, I am no expert like these guys.. but I do have a descriptive section about this on my site.
And the term Squawking is referring to the identification code that aircraft dial into their radar transponders so that ATC and I presume military aircraft can use to identify aircraft.

There has been a LOT of In Flight Refueling the last few days, sadly (and as usual) it took place either above cloudy conditions or when it was dark.
