Updated SAFE-T Tower POI for Garmin GPS Receivers

Each POI includes the SAFE-T Site No., City, County, and primary and secondary frequencies. Just upload to your Custom POIs using Garmin's POI Loader software. It has been a while since I have posted an update. I will try to do better in the future. Enjoy!

Thanks however after I loaded them I have found several coord way off for the towers in the South part of state

Really? I'll double check the coordinates. I used the coordinates from the FCC database.

OK, I did have the wrong coordinates for the Evansville tower. The Henderson tower doesn't have any coordinate information under the FCC database at this time. I retreived the Henderson tower coordinates from the Uniden BCD-996T database file. Do you know the correct coordinates for Henderson? If so, post the coordinates and I will make the correction. Also, I don't see a tower for Heisler. Is there another name for Heisler? Thanks.

Sorry, I think you mean't Heusler. Again, no FCC information so I retreived the coordinates from the BDC-996T datbase file.

Huesler:

37-55-26.0 N, 087-43-41.0 W

Thanks for the effort in making these files I also fixed the FCC info in the "site details" box. I'll go through the rest when I have time and make sure they are all up-to-date.

Update to Racin06's SAFE-T Tower GPS File

Thanks Racin06 for posting the CVS file. I have updated it with some correction (additional sites, Frequencies and coordinates) as well as added some additional columns I thought would be useful. I've added 2 columns that take the Lat Long in DDD format and convert it to DMS. This can then be copied into the free UASD software for the BCD996T. There is also a column that has the lat / long in a format that can be easily copied into Google earth. (BTW all of Indiana is in high resolution). The BCD996T tab just has the pertinent data transposed. (Again for easy of copying into UASD system editor)

EDIT: I am in the process of verifying the sites via Google Earth (The sites highlighted in green have been verified with google earth) and have found a few errors in coordinates. I have completed verifiying sites 1xx and am working on sites 2xx now. The attachment contains one excel file with corrected coordinates for sites 1xx and a google earth *.kml file so you can look at the pretty towers too.
