Hi Folks-

Does anyone know with some certainty that the Centreville Police are on this radio system. And if so, do they have their own talkgroups or do they just use the Sheriff talkgroups that are already in use?

1. If they use their own talkgroups, would you care to share them?
2. If they use the current talkgroups, how would we differenciate callsigns--there seem to be at least 3 sets of callsigns in current use.
3. Lastly, is anyone familiar with the 3 number disposition code that most officers seem to use at the end of an assignment?

OK, I guess that's it for me. I hope that someone has a few answers, and that I can someday return the favor.

Thanks very much,

73 to you and yours.

Mark,

You should hear Centreville PD dispatched on the QA Sheriff Primary TG (ID 25264). As of yet, we've not identified a tactical TG specific to CPD....perhaps they simply use the Sheriff's tactical TGs? Still a bit to piece together regarding the system.

QA Sheriff units use on-air designations of Q1, Q2 and so on. I'm actually not sure what Centreville PD uses on air (before the 800 system was available, they had car numbers starting at 1530).

There does appear to be either an "EMS" or an "EMA" talkgroup added for QA Co use....and we've yet to stumble upon the ID. If you get the time to operate in ID Search mode, you might be able to help us fill in the remaining blanks.

No idea on #3 disposition.

Dave-

Thanks for the response--it's good to know that Centreville is indeed on the system. The callsign info will help, too. I'll play around with the Unitrunker, and see what I can find out.
Thanks, again.

Best regards,

When Centreville Units are on duty, They use a four digit id. starts 15xx example. Id 1530. This is simular to Kent County and Chestertown PD using 3750 through 3769. I believe 1530 is the lowest number in the series but not sure. That is the lowest number I have heard. When Centreville does not have an officer on duty it is covered by Queen Annes Sheriff and MSP.
