usb for 500 help

hello does someone know if the usb cable that comes with the psr-500 can be used with windows 8 , or if it does not is there a way to configure it so it will work with windows 8, thanks for any help

Depends on which USB cable it is. There are several versions.

I use my 30-3290 USB cable all the time with Windows 8 and now Windows 8.1. I have not experienced any problems.

Here are several pictures of the COM3 Serial Port settings for the GRE PSR-500 USB Cable for my WIN 8.1 computer. I use the USB cable with WIN500 to program my scanner.

The GRE OEM cable from the PSR500 works just fine in Windows 8.1
