USB to Serial

I just got a 396 today and I got a USB to Serial adapter with it, but XP won't install it automaticly and I don't have a drive and can't find one, could someone help me out.

Type the model number of the USB adapter with the word driver in Google.

... Interested myself, because I started down that route initially without success. Eventually found a USB-to-scanner cord from http://www.hamradio.com/

... If using ARC396 software, you may try:

UBCD396T

RS232 Communication Setup

click on - UBCD396T

check, "Auto detect scanner"

.... takes a few seconds, but works

I think it wouldn't have a problem finding it if windows found the adapter.
