Using the temporary avoid with the 536 and 436

I see that when you push the avoid button it says temporary avoid. Does this mean that it will avoid it until the power is shut off and the next time you go to use the scanner and turn it on the temporary avoid is not longer in use and you can once again hear the frequency you avoided?

That is correct. To permanently avoid, press AVOID twice.
