Help, for some reason I can’t get UniTrunker to work with the PRO-197. Yes I read all the post in the form and I’m still not having any luck. Since the 197 is similar as the GRE600 I figured it should work.

I tired it using the PC/IF method using the USB data cable and the CCDump was on. I’m using the older version of UT 1.0.57 (Older Version). I set UT to use Null Modem as stated on web site, no luck.

I also tried using the headphone jack and direct line-in to my sound card. Uniscope detects the audio but still no luck. I checked my sound & audio devices and everything looks fine. Should I also be showing a null/serial sound device since I installed the USB data cable?

I would prefer using the data method. I only want to use it for data and not voice. Can someone help.

Thanks
Dan

You're using an obsolete version of the program. The RS models weren't even announced. Try configuring the Receiver settings as if you had a PSR500.

Even better - upgrade to the newest generation of the program.

I also tried the newest version with no luck. I have it set on a known CC which is very strong and my BCT15 with tap can pick up with no problem. I'm wondering if I'm missing something minor. I see the light flashing on the USB cable. Not as fast when using Win500's Monitor/Control. I do have CCDump on. I'm using WinXP/SP3.

Here is a shot of the settings.

Update
I have it working on both version now but only when I'm in scan mode on a TSYS which causes UT to drop out when transmission is detected. Should it also work if just holding on a control channel? If so what is the trick?

Tune mode or TSYS analyze should both work. Radio will stay parked on the designate channel. If using TSYS / Analyze mode, you need to select the active control channel.
