A fella in Florida used his ham it up with his Quansheng uv-k6...so of course I had to give it a go

Quansheng uv-k6 with egzumer v0.22 firmware

Surprising, considering the cost for the whole package. It looks pretty, but I have to ask, how does the plastic feel?

They can go down to 15 meters with the IJV mod and CW key with the mic jack. A dandy QRP rig.

These little radios are becoming quite the popular toy. The new accessory board that gives the HF access is making this a tempting option for a portable.

They can go down to 15 meters with the IJV mod and CW key with the mic jack. A dandy QRP rig.
They only put out reasonable power within the original intended bands. If you transmit on 15m you will measure power but it will be in the VHF band like the 5th or 7th harmonic. the actual power out on 15m might only be a few mw.
