Recently I noticed units dispatched to a fire in Oxnard were assigned “CMD 11".My scanners received CMD 11 repeater output on 154.415 MHZ, the same as CMDs 12 & 14.

I sent an email to the Fire PIO with two questions.
1. Is CMD 11 new? What is its status? Its technical details?
2. Is air/ground still CH 11 or has its channel designation changed to avoid two 11s?

In response I received the following.

“Thank you for your interest in our radio system.
CMD 11 is for Oxnard, and it is new.
Air to Ground is now Channel 16, not Channel 11.
There is no CMD 12 or CMD 14 in our latest radio program.”

I assume the input for CMD 11 is the same as it was for 12 & 14, 155.730 MHz;
My $$$ are on 100.0 PL as was CMD 12.
Once the input & PL are verified I’ll submit the changs.

I wish to compliment the VCF PIO for their prompt, gracious response as usual.

CMD 14 has been used as what I have considered a "backup" for CMD 4 which covers the Oxnard plain. In case of a major event such as a structure fire, incidents normally assigned to CMD 4 were sent to 14. It appears that CMD 11 will replace CMD 14 (and CMD 12) as backup for CMD 4 as 4 is functioning as all ways.

Just verified my assumptions as CMD 11 was used during methane gas situation in Pierpont area of Ventura dominated by CMD 8.
I'l be submitting appropriate changes to the DB.
